Marcel Müller

Marcel Müller

Software Engineer | Doctoral Student

IBE (LMU)

Marcel Müller, M.Sc., is a Research Systems Architect working in several clinical studies. He designs, develops, and integrates research IT platforms that provide secure data access, robust integration, and scalable analytics across clinical and academic domains. His work spans end-to-end architecture, REDCap integration for streamlined research data flows, and custom solutions—APIs, data mappers, and user/identity management—that enable data sharing in medical science while adhering to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) ...more

Samar Shamas

Samar Shamas

Data Engineer | Doctoral Student

IBE (LMU)

Samar Shamas, MSc., is an epidemiologist and data engineer focused on the first mile of study digitalization in a university-hospital environment. She specializes in translating study protocols into well-designed REDCap projects, building robust eCRFs with validation rules, branching logic, and versioning, and establishing repeatable data pipelines. A key emphasis of her work is rich metadata—clear data dictionaries, codebooks, and provenance—so that datasets are understandable, reusable, and ready for downstream analysis ...more
